My Better Half

Even with tears cascading down your face,

You're beautiful to me,

I feel your warm compassion, 

With every blink of your eyes,

I can feel your love.

It breaks me every time, seeing you cry,

Touches my soul,

You are heaven to me, takes my breath away,

Hold me, hold me closer,

Hold my hand in this darkest night,

Emerge from the night,

Stand in your ethereal light,

You are my Godsend.

He has never left me, 

I'm overjoyed to be sharing with you,

The unconditional love he has taught me,

The unconditional love that I've learned to express, 

The love he moved my heart with, 

I could not stand nor breathe,

I was filled with praise,

Amen.

When the Lord moved those mountains for me,

He moved mountains so I would know his light, 

He moved mountains miraculously for me,

So I could feel...the expression, the magnitude of his unwavering love,

Unconditional love that I've grown to accept,

I was becoming a man, molded by his patience,

I was becoming the man, you would love,

Trust my hand to hold, 

Trust my heart to catch your tears,

It is my honor to finally arrive here.
