Seventy and Single

I still have the desire to be loved,
No matter what I look like.
Through age,
My wisdom about love has grown.

Your Majesty.
I want to be free,
Like a sparkling raindrop,
On a bright green leaf,
Without care if it dries there,
Under the sun, on that day.
Take me away!
Evaporating like death,
Freed!

I want to be free,
Like dirt picked up by soles,
Carried away to a distant land.
Lord, blow me like the wind
Ripples from Vegas to London!

The Book on the Shelf

Photo from Pexels

Bibles are books that we store that are filled with God‘s guidance,
We dust them off when we come completely undone,
We use them as our last resort of hope,
We refer to it when we feel as if we’re dying.

The book of life has always been there,
The book on the shelf.
The book in the drawer.
The book on bible.com.
The book on biblestudytools.com.
The book, we all know about.
We all heard about Him, too.

He left it here for us to use,
With our own free will to choose.

It begins with Genesis,
And ends with Revelation.
The divine truth.
