apple cider toast / feel-good laughter
Santa and reindeers / running
across ugly sweaters / gathered
inside with sweet and savory bites /
Christmas carols / drowned out
by the chatter of the snow swirling / in
windows /
everyone looks on /
grateful to be inside /
where the fireplace glows / in
every face that you haven't seen /
in a very long time
